Our group is a sorority founded in 1893, focused on sisterhood, leadership and service. Our national philanthropy is Autism Speaks and collectively we have raised over 2 million dollars.
As part of our Christmas sisterhood, each sister decorated at least one ornament for the tree & about ten sisters came to help place the ornaments. Our sister, Savannah Myers, made the banner and the tree topper. Some sisters chose to make an ornaments customized (there is even an Olaf ornament) while most of the ornaments are Alpha Xi Delta, Autism Speaks, or just general Christmas themed. We hoped to bring more awareness about autism and Autism Speaks through our tree.
Our chapter has only been on the SJSU campus since 2010 so we are trying to reach out into the community as much as possible and we hope to make this a annual thing!
