Girl Scouts of Northern California Junior Troop #60114 Tree #326

The tree was decorated by the members of Junior Troop 60114. We met at the Light Rail station in Almaden, travelled downtown, decorated the tree and then enjoyed hot chocolate and snacks.

This has become an annual tradition for the girls -- as it is the fourth consecutive year they've done such an excursion. The girls are fourth graders now, so that means they've decorated a tree every year since the first grade.

They voted to participate again this year because they enjoy making new ornaments each year, decorating the tree and then bringing their friends and family to Christmas in the Park.

Our troop is always working on a number of badges and could always use assistance from someone with a special skill or interesting background they would like to share with the girls. For example, the girls want to learn how to kayak so we could use a volunteer to help facilitate that.
